With the TA code the set recognizes a traf-
fic announcement. If the radio is switched
on "very low" volume or if you are listen-
ing to a CD the set tunes into the traffic
announcement automatically at the pro-
grammed volume. At the same time the
set tunes into Mono reception.

EON is a RDS function which guarantees
that in the TP mode all traffic announce-
ments from one station are tuned into.
Big radio stations such as RNE often
broadcast different programs at the same
time, i.e. RNE1, RNE2, RNE3, etc.
Independently from the program you are
listening to all traffic announcements
from other programs of this station will be
broadcast as well.

The set is tuned into RNE3. If RN2 broad-
casts a traffic announcement the equip-
ment automatically switches to the
respective frequency.
Once the traffic announcement has ended
it returns to RNE3.

Since some stations modify the RDS name
through the PS code (i.e. for publicity rea-
sons) you can store the RDS name in the
"Audio settings" menu.

At certain times some stations broadcast
regional programs.
The tuner tries first to select alternative
frequencies of the station selected.
If the quality gets so poor that the "pro-
gram could be lost" the set will also
accept frequencies from RNE1 "sister"
channel. As these stations broadcast dif-
ferent programs at certain hours when
you change frequency you may listen to a
different program.

To carry out these settings see “Audio settings”
menu, page 15.
