Once the guide to destination is activated
the system starts the route calculation.
This can last a few seconds. During this
time the driving direction visual display
points at the direction of the travel desti-
nation with the message "Calc. route" and
the voice message "The route is being
calculated". Furthermore, the straight-line
distance to destination is displayed.
If the vehicle is located on a digitalized
road the guide to destination will be dis-
played through acoustic and visual travel
recommendations once the route calcula-
tions have finalized.
If the vehicle is located on a non-digital-
ized road (i.e. parking space, garage, car
park building) the screen will display "Off
road" on the left part of the screen.
Outside of the memorized area in the nav-
igation CD (i.e. abroad) "Off map" will be
displayed on the screen, at the left.
If the system is not able to calculate a
route to the selected destination, the
screen will display "No route" on the left.
In such cases follow the visual display of
the driving direction oriented towards the
destination. Once you are driving on a
digitalized road acoustic and visual travel
recommendations will begin.

Travel recommendations for the guide to
destination are facilitated through spo-
ken driving instructions and guide sym-
bols in the visual symbol display on the
screen.
Recommendations will be displayed
beforehand so that there is sufficient time
to prepare for a turn.
