Auto Idle Function
0004114
Fig. 3-50

1
The auto idle function automatically activates when the
engine is started, reducing fuel consumption and noise
levels.
Press the F2 function button (2) to toggle the auto idle
mode on and off after engine is running. The auto idle icon
(1) will change to reflect the mode selected.
With the engine running, the auto idle function works as
follows:
•
If the joysticks (3 and 5) and travel controls (4)
remain in their neutral positions for 5 seconds or
longer, the engine idle speed drops from the
currently set idle speed to the factory-set auto idle
speed (approximately 1350–1400 rpm).
•
If either of the joysticks or travel controls are
operated, or if the throttle control dial is adjusted
while the engine is idling at the lower, factory-set
auto idle speed, the engine speed automatically
returns to its higher, previously set level or the
newly set level.
•
If the engine is shut down and then restarted, the
auto idle function is automatically re-activated.
With the engine running and the auto idle function
selected, the machine functions as follows:
•
If the joysticks and travel controls remain in their neutral positions for 5 seconds, the engine idle speed
drops from the currently set idle speed to the factory-set idle speed (approximately 1350–1400 rpm).
•
If either the joysticks or travel controls are operated, or if the throttle dial is adjusted while the engine is
idling at the lower factory-set auto idle speed, the engine speed automatically returns to its higher,
previously set level or adjusts to the newly set level.
•
If the engine is shut down and then restarted, the auto idle function is automatically reactivated.
