Replace the Hydraulic Tank Breather Filter Element

Depending on the work environment and the degree of
contamination, the filter element may need to be replaced
more frequently than every 500 hours.

1. Prepare the machine for service. See “Maintenance

Safety” on page 2-8.

2. Clean the top of the hydraulic oil tank around the

breather valve.

3. Remove the wing nut (1) and spacer from the top of the

breather valve.

4. Press the vent valve (3) to relieve the hydraulic tank

pressure.

5. Unscrew and remove the hydraulic tank breather filter element cover (2).

6. Remove the breather filter element (4) from the valve

body.

7. Install the new breather filter element.

8. Install the breather filter cover.

9. Secure the cover with the spacer and wing nut.

NOTICE!

Dispose of the used filter in accordance with all applicable environmental regulations. Failure

to follow this notice could result in damage to the environment.
