When the key switch is turned to the ON position, the
controller will display the home screen (1).
The display indicates that by using the assigned function
button F1 (3) the operator can switch between the four
work modes.
Work Mode
The work mode on the monitor must correspond to the type
of equipment to be used. Press the F1 function button to
select the work mode. The work mode (2) selected will be
displayed at the top of the monitor screen.
The four work modes available are:
•
Heavy Duty (H): Provides 100% of the machine’s
rated power for excavating in hard or rocky
ground.
•
Standard Duty (S): Provides 90% of the machine’s
rated power for normal excavating.
•
Light Duty (L): Provides 80% of the machine’s
rated power for light tasks such as digging in soft
soil.
•
Breaker (B): Provides 70% of the machine’s rated
power and is used when operating with equipment
such as a jackhammer.
The work mode is displayed by the work mode indicator
(4). The machine defaults to the standard work mode after start-up. The indicator changes when the work mode is
changed.
NOTE:
When working with a breaker attached, the work mode must be set to B. When working with a shear
attached, the work mode must be set to S.
