3.3 Control Board
Describes the problems and troubleshooting the problems that occur on control boards such
as MP10/11 and LCP boards.
3.3.1 MP10/11 Board
The procedure for resolving the problem that occurs on MP10/11 board is as follows:
3.3.1.1 Abnormal Processor Operation
The procedure for resolving the problem caused by abnormal MP10/11 board operation is
as follows:

Is CPU clock normal?
No
Yes
Is RESET signal HIGH?
No
Yes
Is DTACK signal ACTIVE(LOW)?
No
Yes
- Y1 power(#4) is abnormal: Check
adjacent circuits.
- Y1 power is normal but output is
abnormal: Replace Y1.
Track the DTACK source and check
the operation such as source clock in
HIGH status
- DTACK of option board
- DTACK of main board
- DTACK of the time switch
- U26(DS1706) if STEADY LOW.
- If CPU ADDR/DATA bus if VIBRATION.
Is at least one LED of
MP10/11 board(s) ON?
No
- Refer to ‘3.1.1 Checking Cabinet
Power’ .
- Check the connection status of
MP10/11 board.
Start
Is the initial booting performed?
No
Yes
- Check the multimedia card file name
- Scope if ADDR/DATA bus of
MP10/11 board is normal.
- Replace the flash memory(U15)
After system
is booted, does the board
operate properly?
No
Yes
- Scope if ADDR/DATA bus of
MP10/11 board is normal.
- Replace the flash memory(U15)
