TAX PROGRAMMING
1. From the Program Mode menu, touch TAX to view the TAX program selections and select
TAX .
2. Enter a DESCRIPTION for each of the 10 tax rates if desired. Descriptors can be up to 30
characters. This will be the descriptors printed on receipts and reports You can use the X at
the end of the description field to clear the current descriptor.
3. The TAX NUM # filed displays the current tax 1-10 that is selected.

SPECIFICATION
Press the drop down to select the tax type; VAT, ADDON, or TAX TABLE .
RATE:
Refer to the notes that follow for programming the rate for each tax type.
VAT TAX Programming Notes
V alue- A dded T ax; when VAT TAX is selected, the tax is included as part of the item price. See
VAT options in the Options \ Tax Option programming on Page 93 for additional VAT TAX
options.
RATE
Enter the tax rate to three decimal places; i.e. 6.875% tax would be entered as 6875.
Press OK to go back to the main TAX programming screen.
Add On Tax Program Notes
When ADDON tax is selected, the tax is calculated and then added-on to the sale.
