If the input offset is positive, the measurement result plus offset will be displayed. If the input offset is negative, the
measurement result minus offset will be displayed.
If the channel or display offset is set, the system will display “Offset On”.
3.9.2 Setting of display offset
The display offset increases the offset of the measurement result in the current window and only acts on the current
window. In the small window display, the window can be selected through the “Up” and “Down” keys, and then the
display offset can be changed. The display offset is expressed in dB with the range of -100 dB to +100 dB of which the
positive value compensates the attenuation and the negative value compensates the gain.
The display offset is set as per the following steps:
3) Select [Menu]>[Measure] >[Disp Offset] >[State] >[On] to enable the display offset function, and the prompt
“Offset On” will be displayed on the screen;
4) Set [Disp Offset] >[Offset] to input the offset value.
If the input offset is positive, the measurement result plus offset will be displayed. If the input offset is negative, the
measurement result minus offset will be displayed.
If the channel or display offset is set, the system will display “Offset On”.
3.9.3 Setting of FDO
The FDO varies with the frequency. It provides a fast and effective method for compensation of the frequency change in
the response of the test system and acts on the power sensor. The microwave power meter can store 10 FDO tables each
of which can set 80 frequency points at most.
After the frequency offset function is enabled, the power meter will automatically set the calibration factor according to
the sensor calibration table and FDO table during measurement and correct the measured result to ensure the
measurement accuracy.
The FDO is set as per the following steps:
1) Confirm that the power meter/sensor has been zeroed and calibrated;
2) Press [Channel]>[Channel A] >[Next Page] >[FDO] to enter the FDO setup window;
3) Press the [Up] and [Down] keys or the [Up] and [Down] soft keys to select the FDO table to be set. The selected
FDO table will be displayed in dark blue;
4) Press the [State] soft key to open the FDO table;
5) Press the [Edit] soft key to enter the FDO table edit menu;
6) Press the [Insert] soft key to make the frequency dialog pop up. You can input the frequency point to be inserted
through the numeric key and set the unit using the soft key on the right side;
7) After the frequency unit is input, the offset dialog will pop up automatically. You can input the offset value in dB at
the inserted frequency point;
