Measurement state It prompts the current measurement state. “Meas” indicates that the
instrument is in normal measurement state.
11
Soft key menu
It displays the menu option represented by the current soft key.
2.3.1.2 Waveform display on peak sensor connection
When the S2438 series microwave power meter is connected to a peak power sensor for waveform display, waveforms
and some key parameters can be displayed simultaneously. Fig. 2.12 shows the interface on which the waveforms and
power parameters are displayed simultaneously.

Information Content Meaning
1
Display waveform
The currently measured pulse waveform is displayed.
2
Mark 1
The starting position of time corresponding to the current gate is
displayed in the window as a vertical line below which the value “1” is
displayed.
3
Mark 2
The ending position of time corresponding to the current gate is
displayed in the window as a vertical line below which the value “2” is
displayed. The time between Mark 1 and Mark 2 is the time length of the
gate.
4
Mark power
parameter
The current measured power values of Mark 1 and Mark 2 as well as the
average power and peak power between Mark 1 and Mark 2 are displayed.
5
Window power
parameter
The current window waveform power parameters are
displayed,
including “Avg”, “Peak”, “Top”, “Bottom”, “PRA”, “Overshoot”, “Pulse”
and “Droop”.
