2.1.2 Configuration of Operating System
This chapter introduces the methods for configuration and maintenance of the S2438 series microwave power meter. To
ensure normal operation of instrument software, please refer to the precautions for configuration of the microwave power
meter below.
2.1.2.1 Description of instrument software
The WinCE operating system is adopted for operation of the software of the S2438 series microwave power meter. This
system has been installed and configured based on the characteristics of the microwave power meter.
2.1.2.2 Configuration of remote interface
Remote control of the S2438 series microwave power meter can be achieved via the GPIB, network interface or USB
interface. The specific methods for configuration and operation are as follows:
Step 1.
Press [Menu] >[Remote Control Interface] on the front panel to enter the interface configuration menu as shown
in Fig. 2.8;
Step 2.
Press [Up] or [Down], or [UP], [Down], [Left] or [Right] arrow keys on the panel to select the option to be
modified;
Step 3.
Modify the parameter setting through the numeric keys;
Step 4.
After modification, press [Apply] to save the modified configuration in the microwave power meter.

The GPIB address of the S2438 series microwave power meter should not be the same as that of other instruments in the
networking system;
The IP addresses of the S2438 series microwave power meter and other instruments in the networking system must be
within the same segment.
