Connection of Optocoupler outputs and RSI interface (pos. B1 and B2)
Note
The Optocoupler inputs are placed at the supply voltage connection
(pos. G)
The RSI enables the operation of future ROLAND sensors which have not only the signal output
but also the RSI interface.
On the following pages the pin configuration of the optocoupler outputs and the RSI (ROLAND
serial interface) are described.

Optocoupler outputs for fast switching operation
For reasons of velocity and for diagnostic purposes it could be useful to issue the relevant
switching signal 0-sheet, 1-sheet, 2-sheet via a real-time interface. Latency periods and cycle times
of fieldbus communications are eliminated.
