Flushing before Printing
These SP codes display the counts for flushing at the left ink sump for each ink cartridge
before print jobs begin.
• Ink purging may be done before printing, and the timing determines purge
position, number of ink drops, head order of purging, and speed.
• Many factors affect the frequency and amount of purging: Length of time the
machine has remained idle, ambient temperature and humidity, switching from
black-and-white to color printing, and so on.
• The frequency of purging is controlled by the machine firmware.
