SCT-1100 Weight Transmitter
Transmission when
is pressed – The instrument communicates the weight data through the serial port
when
is pressed
• Transmission takes place if the weight is stable and the net weight is > 20 divisions; Re-enabling
transmission depends on how the
is set in the setup mode (passing by zero of the NET weight,
weight instability or always)
• In the totalizer mode, transmission on the PC port takes place by pressing
.
• Data is transmitted using the standard string
or the extended string (multi-scale string in the
mode (
for description of the 3 strings.
• The transmission is confirmed when
displays
Transmission in RS-485 serial mode – The protocol is the same as the transmission with request; the instru-
ment responds only if its code is the one requested (before the request the machine code must be input, I.E.
00READ<CRLF>);
If a broadcast address command (99) is received no answer is given; If the command is correct it is executed
NOTE: In a primary/secondary connection, connect the primary instrument to the PC and configure
parameter
Continuous transmission – used for interfacing to the PC, remote displays and other devices which request a
constant updating of the data independently from the weight stability; the instrument transmits data with each
converter read operation:
• Baud rate at 9600 up to 10 transmissions per second are possible
• Baud rate at 115200 up to 16 transmissions per second are possible for the PC port and up to 12 for the
printer port
The transmission works with weight <, =, > 0
The data is transmitted using the standard string
(
) or the extended string (or multi-scale string in the TRANSM
mode) (
);
see
for a description of the three strings
•
The
transmission protocol is recommended for applications where a high frequency of
transmissions is requested. (up to 250TX/sec. with baud rate equal to 115200); the weight is transmitted
in hexadecimal format (for example: 03E8= 1000g), without decimal point.
NOTE: The data transmission frequency increases or decreases depending on the configured filter.
To obtain 250TX/sec configure the filter F.F.400

)
Transmission on stability – Each time a weight on the scale becomes stable, a communication string is trans-
mitted on the PC serial port.
• The transmission takes place when the weight is stable and the net weight is greater than 10 divisions
• Re-enabling the transmission depends on how
has been set in the setup mode
• The data is transmitted using the standard string
or the extended string (or multi-scale string in
the TRANSM mode
; see
for a description of the 3 strings
