The
EDID
window is used to manage the entries in the EDID list. EDID information is captured
from connected outputs and may be saved to the list.
There is a factory default EDID based on a preferred timing of 1920 x1200. Once a new user-
captured EDID is invoked, the default choice will disappear from the drop-down list. If this EDID is
needed, just perform an EDID capture from a non-connected output and save to the list. If not
named otherwise, it will display as
[email protected] RGB 0026
.
To save EDID data from a connected output, use the following procedure.
1. Click the EDID icon on the WCP. The window shown in
Figure 4-13
opens.

2. Select an output number from its drop-down list.
3. Select an entry number from the drop-down list.
4. Click
Save
. A window opens to name the EDID table entry.

5. Enter a name for the EDID table entry as required and click
OK
. If a name is not entered, the
preferred resolution and frame rate of the display’s EDID will be shown.
The EDID Management window can also be used to delete or rename a table entry.

Note
HDMI audio requires a 2-block EDID. The RGB Spectrum default EDID is single-
block and does not support audio.
