This chapter provides instructions for establishing serial and Telnet connections to the 

Linx DVI Matrix 

Switcher

. Tera Term, a third-party program provided on the product disk that contains this manual, may be 

used serial control on a PC or for Telnet control over Ethernet.

Please see documentation for your specific controller or your IT representative for additional instructions.

Tera Term, a third-party application included on the product CD that contains this manual, may be 
used to establish serial communication between a PC with a Windows operating system and a 

Linx 

Switcher

.

1.

Connect the serial port of the 

Linx

 to the serial port of the PC. A low-cost RS-232 to USB 

adapter may be used.
