These numbers change as the pointer passes over the sonar image, indicating the
pointer‟s current position on the image.
Across Track:
o
Positive reading is distance from sonar head to starboard side.
o
Negative reading is distance from sonar head to port side.
Depth: Vertical distance from sonar head.
Range: Distance covered by beam to reach that point.
When Beam has been selected from the Display Format drop-down menu, the readings
will indicate channel and sample as the pointer passes over the B-scan display (see also
section 5.3.1.2 above
).
5.3.10 Automatic Update of Auto Pilot Settings
The Settings
–> Autopilot button appears to the right on the sonar image control portion
of the Primary Display. The button updates the settings in the AutoPilot Parameters
dialog (see
section 4.2.9 Edit Auto Pilot Settings
When operating in Auto Pilot mode the button cannot be selected.
5.4 Motion Tab
When the Roll Stabilization option has been enabled, the sonar wedge display (see
section 5.3.1 above
) will display motion compensated data with a precision of within
±0.025°. If the compensated data does not appear, select the Motion option from the
Configuration menu to enable it (see
section 4.2.6 Motion
NOTE
Care should be taken to ensure that roll stabilization is correctly configured and
operational prior to collecting survey data.
