6 Cleaning / Maintenance
The device does not contain any parts that require maintenance.
Opening the device other than described in the instructions is not permitted!
Never use cleansers containing solvents.
To clean the unit, merely wipe it down with a moist cloth.
6.1 Cleaning the Interior
• Cartridge bed (14, Fig. 1):
With the pressure discs (9, Fig. 1) retracted, the cartridge bed is easily accessible for cleaning.
• Pressure discs (9, Fig. 1) and spindle covers (10, Fig. 1):
In order to remove deposits and residues from the pressure plates or the spindle cover, it is possible to
move the pressure plates into a suitable position whilst there is no cartridge in place and the device lid
is closed.
NEVER clean the spindles (11, Fig. 1) themselves. The grease applied to spindles is necessary for
the unit’s proper function.
Tip:
Remnants of impression material are most easily removed with a dry cloth or paper towel.
6.2 Disinfection
Never use superheated steam for disinfection!
The following products can be used for disinfection:
• Incidur Spray (Ecolab)
• Incides N wipes (Ecolab)
Nach der Desinfektion ausreichend lüften, um eine explosionsgefährdete Umgebung zu vermeiden.
6.3 Pressure Disc Replacement
The pressure discs (9, Fig. 1) are subject to wear as a result of their rubbing against the inner cartridge
wall (20, Fig. 1). Highly abraded pressure plates can damage the foil bag.
Furthermore, a wrongly placed cartridge can cause the pressure plate to break.
Replacement pressure discs are therefore available as spare part.
The spare parts are supplied with the necessary tool and installation instructions.
6.4 Unit Cover Replacement
The unit cover (8, Fig. 1) is available as spare part.
The spare parts are supplied with the necessary tool and installation instructions.
6.5 Fuse Replacement
Before replacing the fuse, disconnect the unit from the mains power supply by unplugging the
power cord from the wall outlet.
Only replace fuses with new ones that have the same rating as those being replaced. Refer to the
„Technical Specifications“ section.
Never use fuses with a higher rating.
⇒
Unplug the unit.
⇒
Pull the fuse holder (17) out.
⇒
Remove the defective fuse and insert a new one.
⇒
Push the fuse holder back in, making sure it is completely seat-
