802.1x/Ports
The 802.1x Port Configuration View dialog window displays all the ports and their current settings. To modify this
information, click on the
Modify
button.
Port No:
This column shows the number of the port.
Port Name:
This column displays the port’s descriptive name.
802.1x Status:
This column indicates whether the existing 802.1X port is enabled or disabled. Ports only
require 802.1x authentication if they are enabled and 802.1x is globally enabled on the configuration page.
802.1x State:
This column shows the current state of the port. This option is only valid when the port is
enabled and 802.1x is globally enabled.
Link Down:
There is no link detected on the port.
Initialize:
The port is being setup for 802.1x authentication.
Disconnected:
A valid 802.1x client has not been detected.
Connecting:
A valid 802.1x client has been detected, but authentication has not begun.
