System Name
– An alias for the wireless bridge, enabling the device to be uniquely
identified on the network. (Default: Outdoor Bridge; Range: 1-22 characters)
Location
– A text string that describes the system location. (Maximum length: 20
characters)
Contact
– A text string that describes the system contact. (Maximum length: 255
characters)
CLI Commands for System Identification – Enter the global configuration mode and
use the
system name
command to specify a new system name. Use the
snmp-server location
and
snmp-server contact
commands to indicate the physical
location of the wireless bridge and define a system contact. Then return to the Exec
mode, and use the
show system
command to display the changes to the system
identification settings.
TCP / IP Settings
Configuring the wireless bridge with an IP address expands your ability to manage
the wireless bridge. A number of wireless bridge features depend on IP addressing
to operate.
Note:
You can use the web browser interface to access IP addressing only if the
wireless bridge already has an IP address that is reachable through your
network.
