PROBLEM SOLUTION
A nozzle is erratically
spraying cleaner.
A nozzle is not spraying
any cleaner.
The nozzle head is clogged. Refer to the Maintenance
section for information about how to unclog the nozzle
heads.
Foam is coming out the
exhaust port of the vacuum
motor.
This is caused by either of the problems.
•
The waste tank needs to be emptied.
•
The action between the cleaner, oil, and agitator foam
creates suds that float on top of the debris in the waste
tank. This foam is sometimes sucked through the
motor. To reduce the amount of suds, pour two to three
ounces of defoamer into the waste tank before you
begin your lane cleaning session.
Residue is left on the lane
after the Express passes
over it.
Any damaged or worn edges on any of the parts listed below
will weaken the suction needed to draw the debris into the
waste tank.
•
Check the squeegee edges to ensure they are not worn,
hard, or warped. If they are, replace them. Refer to the
Maintenance section for information about how to install
the squeegees and refer to the Parts section for part
numbers.
•
Ensure the squeegees are making full contact with the
lane surface. If they are not, replace them. Refer to the
Maintenance section for information about how to install
the squeegees and refer to the Parts section for part
numbers.
•
Check that the waste tank is seated correctly against the
vacuum motor seal.
•
Check that the vacuum motor seal is not bent, wrinkled,
rolled, or worn. If it is, replace it. Refer to the
Maintenance section for information about how to install
the seal and refer to the Parts section for part numbers.
