If PiXtend eIO is to be used in a
control box, control cabinet or laboratory setup
, a
DIN
rail power supply
is the ideal solution as the power source. In this type of power supply,
the mains voltage usually has to be connected / wired by the user.
Attention!
It is therefore essential to observe the manufacturer's safety and
connection instructions. Working on the electricity grid (115/230 V AC)
are only allowed by qualified personnel!
The following figure shows a 60 W DIN rail power supply, which can be used for PiXtend
eIO:
With the illustrated power supply (Figure 27), the voltage can still be set exactly to 24.0 V
with a small screwdriver. This should be done before the voltage is applied to PiXtend eIO.
To do this, measure the output voltage of the power supply using a voltmeter or multimeter.
