Attention!
The earthing of the DIN rail housing only via the mounting connection
housing ← → DIN rail is not sufficient and does not represent a
reliable PE connection.
The protective conductor connection (flat plug) must be used!
In the event of a fault, in which a dangerous voltage could be applied to metal parts of
PiXtend eIO, then the current flow through the protective conductor connections is reliably
ensured. The safety mechanisms (miniature circuit breaker, personal protective switch /
residual current circuit breaker / fault current switch) are able to trip and restore the entire
system to a safe state.
