If a drive fails, you will be notified by a service ticket in the remote management console (see
).
Caution:
Do
not
remove a drive that has
not
failed. Instead, only remove a drive that has failed. If you
accidentally remove a good drive, wait 30 seconds before reinserting the drive.

Each 1 GbE Ethernet port on the DXi6900 Node rear panel has two LED indicators (see

Link indicator

Off
- Indicates the port is not connected to the network.
l
Green
- Indicates the port is connected to the network at maximum speed (1Gbps).
l
Amber
- Indicates the port is connected to the network at less than its maximum port
speed.
Activity Indicator
Blinking green
- Indicates network data is being sent or received.
