PC Software

XSOFT Firmware Update System

Updating ABACUS, COMMANDER, DSP, OCTOPUS, PATCH BOX, or ZOMBIE software is a
very simple procedure. Such tiresome activities as removing the device from the rack, replacing
EPROM’s, or even opening the casing are all things of the past with XSOFT.

All you need is a few minutes, an industry standard PC, preferably a laptop, and a 9-way null
modem cable. It is the same cable already provided for connecting a 1201 ABACUS or a 1220
COMMANDER to a device. Just plug the other end into a PC's RS-232 port.

Firmware is available as an executable PC program. The latest version can be acquired at no cost
twenty-four hours a day from our download site
