7-25 Troubleshooting
Blank Pages
If a blank start-up page ejects or blank pages come out during a print-
ing job, try the following:
1 Check the toner cartridge.
The image does not print if the cartridge is empty.
2 Be sure you have broken the tab on the side of the toner car-
tridge and removed the tape seal.
3 If the toner cartridge is not empty, the sealing tape has been
removed, and blank pages are ejecting, take the cartridge
out, roll it from side to side, and reinstall the cartridge in the
printer.
4 If these solutions do not work, contact your QMS vendor to
purchase another toner cartridge.
Not All Pages Print
If the printer stops printing in the middle of your file, try the following:
1 Check your cable.
You could have the wrong kind of cable.
2 Make sure no one pressed the Cancel key while your job was
printing.
3 Check the message window to see if the cassette you are
using needs more media.
4 If you’re printing via a parallel connection, make sure that
the mode statement in your AUTOEXEC.BAT file ends in a
“p” so that print jobs are sent until the printer accepts them:
mode lpt1:,,p
Fonts Don't Print Correctly
Make sure you’re using TrueType fonts. If not, change to TrueType
fonts.
