Troubleshooting

Performing a Board Test

You can test the printer by using the Board Test menu.

Caution: Make sure the control panel message window reads

IDLE

before performing this procedure.

Press the Online/Offline key to take the printer off line.

Press the Menu key 10 times to access the Board Test menu.

Press the Select key to display the Perform test option.

Press the Select key to display the message

Online, full test

and begin the test.

The printer displays the following messages several times:

Testing DRAM

Testing Flash

Testing Ethernet

Testing Asics

Note: These messages are displayed several times. The board
test is not finished until the

Board tested OK

message

displays.

When the board test is finished, the message

Board tested OK

displays and then the message

Booting

displays as the printer restarts and returns to

Idle
