Optional Feeder
The printer and standard feeder are stacked on top of the optional
feeder, so no additional space is necessary. It comes with either a
500-sheet letter/A4 cassette or a second 250-sheet universal media
cassette. The optional feeder provides two benefits:

It increases your printer’s media-feed capacity to a total of 900 or
1150 sheets, depending on whether you install an optional 250-
sheet or 500-sheet cassette.

It allows you to load different sizes or colors of media and easily
change between them by switching cassettes.
Unpacking the Optional Feeder
1 Remove the feeder from its shipping carton, and place it on a
flat surface.
2 Remove any tape and packing material from the feeder.
3 Save the carton and packing material in case you ever have
to move or relocate the feeder.
