Wheel rims and tyres should be carefully washed and dried. During longer
storage of unused slurry tanker, it is recommended that every 2 to 3 weeks the
machine may be moved a bit so that the place of contact of tyres with ground is
changed. The tyres will not be deformed and maintain proper geometry. Also tyre
pressure should be inspected from time to time, and if necessary pressure should
be increased to appropriate value.
•
For a longer storage period of the slurry tanker, preserve the chamber of the
rotary vane vacuum pump according to the guidelines contained in the Operator's
Manual of the pump.
5.9 TIGHTENING TORQUE FOR NUT AND BOLT
CONNECTIONS
Unless other tightening parameters are given, during maintenance repair work apply
appropriate torque to tightening nut and bolt connections. Recommended tightening torque of
most frequently applied nut and bolt connections are given in table (5.5). Given values apply
to non-lubricated steel bolts.
