Before you can configure storage settings on the VSky A1100bSM, you need to create logical drives on the
Vess RAID storage subsystem. This can be done through an SSH connection to the Vess. You need to exit the
text menu temporarily and return to the CLI menu.
Access Vess CLI management
The Vess subsystem can be accessed through the VSky A1100bSM via the Fibre Channel physical link.
But first you need to exit the text mode VSky A1100bSM management and go to the Linux text command line
interface.
To exit the text menu, select
Exit
and press
<Enter>
. You will return to the Linux root menu. From here you will
be able to manage the Vess through the VSky A1100bSM.
To access the CLI management interface of the Vess subsystem:
