The users are free to change the mode at any time. The default
mode of operation is kept as Pass-Through mode.
4.3. MODBUS TCP/IP Configuration
The IP address for the PE_GATEWAY can be assigned by means of
automatic assignation or static assignation.
In any case, MODBUS registers from [40923] to [40926] reflects the IP
address, registers from [40927] to [40930] reflects the Net Mask
address and the registers from [40931] to [40934] reflects the Gateway
address currently used by the TCP/IP stack.
Note: To access internal parameters of the gateway using
MODBUS/TCP, the unit ID has to be set as 254.
4.3.1. Dynamic IP Assignment
The MODBUS TCP/IP stack supports dynamic IP assignment using
DHCP protocol. The automatic IP register ETH_DHCP_ENABLE
[MODBUS Address: 40922] must be set to “1” to enable the dynamic
assignment. Make sure that the DHCP server is configured to assign
the IP address to the requesting clients. The Actual IP, Subnet and
Gateway addresses used by the Power Electronics Ethernet
Gateway are mapped with the MODBUS addresses from [40923] to
[40934].
