Tightening torques must be observed!
Loose connections and frayed connection lines are the main reasons
for failure of the power steering pump. Short circuits may damage the

NOTE
The rubber pad must be placed in the holder underneath the power
steering pump.
NOTE
Both lines (pressure line and return line) must be checked for firm
seating and chafing before each event. Damaged lines must be re-
placed.

The power steering pump's ventilation line must not be kinked. Check
the condition of this line regularly.
NOTE
The connections + 12Volt BATT and the ground connection for the
power steering pump should be checked for firm seating and chafing
as part of the normal vehicle inspection.
