Cross-circuit
between two inputs
A cross-circuit with another input,
an external voltage, or an external
clock output has been detected.
The affected input is kept in the
safe state.
•
Check the sensor, clock output,
connector, and cabling.
This diagnostic message can be
acknowledged. Acknowledgment
deletes the message and enables
the input.
If the error is still present, the mes

Short circuit or over
-
load at the indicated
clock output
A short circuit or overload has
been detected at the indicated
clock output. The affected clock
output is disabled and, therefore,
the assigned inputs are no longer
supplied.
•
Check the connector and
cabling.
This diagnostic message can be
acknowledged. Acknowledgement
deletes the message and enables
the clock output again, meaning the
assigned inputs are also supplied
again.

Implausible signal
change at indicated
input pair
Implausible signal change was
detected at an input pair in 2-chan
-
nel operation.
To reset the error state:
•
Set both inputs to the safe state.
•
Set both inputs again (observe
negation for non-equivalent
inputs).
This diagnostic message can be
acknowledged. Acknowledgment
deletes the message.
The clock outputs are also enabled and monitored when not parameterized. If a short circuit
occurs at a clock output when it is in this state, the clock output is disabled. To exit the error,
parameterize the Smart Element and acknowledge the error message.
