The
FLOW CONTROL TRANSLATION
parameter allows terminals with out-
of-band reverse flow control logic (e.g. DTR-/DTR+) to connect to hosts that
operate with in-band flow control, and vice versa.
Appendix G provides a table of what occurs when flow control translation is
enabled.
