HDMI Digital Video Output Port (Headless Unit Only)
The Headless models (without a flat panel display) have a High Definition Multimedia Interface connector
(HDMI 19F) for connection of an external or remote display device or monitor.
The maximum cable length for the HDMI interface cable is highly dependent on the certification and
quality of the cable and the resolution of display image. Cables that have been tested at an HDMI
Authorized Testing Centers will result in an issuance of a Compliance Testing Certificate indicating that
they will work at their specified length. In general, budget cables should perform well if they are no longer
than 15 to 25 feet.
NOTE: As digital video cables increase in length, the available bandwidth decreases and with it the
highest potential display resolution is lowered. For example, a 6 foot HDMI cable may support
1920x1200 without trouble, but a longer cable might top out at 1024x768 video resolution
without distortion, pixilation or artifacts. If the application requires a video cable exceeding 10
feet in length, we recommend that the specific cable type and length be tested in the intended
application to insure proper visual operation. Video extenders are available in the market to
extend the distance between the PowerStation and a monitor in excess of 4000 feet.
The Headless models will operate in Dual Display mode, both analog VGA and digital HDMI ports can be
active simultaneously. The Intel
®
graphics driver running on the IX or PCA can be configured to operate in
both Clone (same image on both displays) and Extended Desktop (two different images) operation.
This video port can output up to 1920 x 1200 display resolution.
SD Card
The XT PowerStations are equipped with a Secure Digital (SD) card slot that can support both SD and
SDHC cards, with a maximum capacity up to 32GBs.
Although most SD cards on the market will be recognized by the system, Parker SD cards have been
tested for endurance and performance and are strongly recommended for use in the PowerStations.
