Parker XT/IX/PCA PowerStation User Manual
WARNING: DO NOT APPLY A VOLTAGE TO THIS CONNECTOR OR DAMAGE WILL
OCCUR TO THE UNIT! This connector is provided for connection of a low
voltage, low current capable, momentary pushbutton switch.
Audio Port
The XT/IX/PCA PowerStations provide one HD Audio port via a 3.5mm diameter jack. An internal Realtek
ALC662 VD codec is used to provide high quality audio. Line Out can be connected to a headphone or
amplifier.
VGA Analog Video Output Port (Headless Unit Only)
The Headless models (without a flat panel display) have an analog VGA video output connector (DB15F) for
connection of an external or remote display device or monitor.
The maximum cable length for the analog interface cable is highly dependent on the quality of the cable
and the resolution of display image. In general, budget cables should perform well if they are no longer
than 15 to 25 feet and, depending on the quality of the cable and desired resolution, may function well to
50 feet.
NOTE: As analog video cables increase in length, the available bandwidth decreases and with it the
highest potential display resolution is lowered. For example, a short 6 foot VGA cable may
support 1920x1200 without trouble, but a long cable might top out at 1024x768 video
resolution without distortion, pixilation or artifacts. If the application requires a video cable
exceeding 25 feet in length, we recommend that the specific cable type and length be tested in
the intended application to insure proper visual operation. Video extenders are available in
the market to extend the distance between the PowerStation and a monitor in excess of 4000
feet.
