(3) Light interference from muting sensor to light curtain
●
Use a red LED type sensor. (Example:
CX-411
)
●
Increase the distance A between the light curtain and the muting sensor that causes
interference.
●
Displace the beam axis from each other to prevent interference. (Example: Change the
installation height or place them at an oblique angle.)
●
Install a light shielding plate.
●
Set the light curtain and the muting sensor that causes interference in a staggered
arrangement.
●
Attach a slit to reduce the light intensity. (Example:
OS-CX
series)
If light interference occurs between the muting sensor and light curtain as described in (2) or (3)
it can be prevented by providing the distance A (m) that satisfies the formula below:
Distance (L) between the emitter and
receiver of the light curtain
Distance (A) between the muting sensor
and light curtain
When L is between 0.2 and 3m
0.262m or more
When L is between 3 and 15m
L × tan5° = L × 0.0874m or more
Note that nearby photoelectric sensors can cause light interference in some cases. Please
check the surrounding area to see if there are sources of light interference.
