6.2.6 Setting
an
Area and a Mask Area
A measured range is called an "area”. The area is displayed in green. A function that excludes a masked part of
an area from an inspection is "mask function", and the part excluded is "mask area". The mask area is displayed
in blue. The shapes of a mask area consist of rectangle, circle, polygon (up to 16 vertices), plane scan (rectangle).
The available area shapes differ depending on the checker type.
Enhanced Color:
Normally, areas and mask areas are displayed in green and blue respectively, but when setting and changing
the area and the mask area, they are shown in yellow. In PV310, this yellow color is “enhanced colors". This is
a helpful function to select the mask area to edit.
While inspection is executed in RUN mode, the mask and checker shapes that were judged as "NG" are
displayed in red.
