7.1 Overview
7.1.1 Calculation,
Analysis, and Display of the Inspection Result Data
The way of performing calculation and analysis (numeric calculation, judgment calculation and statistics
calculation) of inspection results for each checker and displaying the calculations on the screen are described
below.
Function
Main Use
Descriptions
Numeric
Calculation
• Calculation using the data
detected by a checker
• Ready for outputting each
data to external device
Calculates using the measured data. This feature allows the PV310
to compute the data and absolute values using four arithmetic
operations or trigonometrical functions (Sin, Cos, Atan). In addition,
this function can judge whether or not the calculated results are
under the maximum/minimum values you have set. Up to 96
formulas can be set for each product type.
Judgment • Calculation using the data
detected by a checker
• Ready for outputting each
data to external device
Judges the results of numeric calculation in a complex manner and
the inspection results for each checker. The results can output to the
external device. Up to 96 formulas can be set for each product type.
Statistics
• Count the number of scans
• Statistics of the calculation
results of Numeric
Calculation
• Count the judgment output
results by the type of result
Counts the number of Numeric Calculations and Judgment that were
judged as "OK" or "NG", and saves up to 96 the maximum/minimum
values and ranges (Max - Min.) of the inspection results after turning
on the PV310 (or resetting the system) and the average and
variance values which were judged as "OK" for each product type.
Up to 96 statistics can be set for each product type.
Data
Monitor
• Display the data during
inspection
Displays the data in table form during inspection (or in RUN mode)
by referring the numeric calculations, judgments and statistic data to
the Data Monitor table. You can change the maximum or minimum
values of the numeric calculations displayed during inspection. Up to
50 data can be set for each product type.
7.1.2 Outputting
Data
to the External Device
Data that can be output to the external device
The following four types of data can be output to the external device.
Data
Descriptions
Scan
Outputs the number of scans after the PV310 was turned on or the product types were switched.
Judgment
Outputs up to 96 judgment calculations that have been set as Judgment. You can select whether
or not all of the saved Judgment data.
Num. Calcu
Outputs only the calculation results that have been set to output externally out of up to 96
judgment calculations
Statistics
Outputs only the statistics data that have been set to output externally out of up to 96 statistics
data

Parallel
The data listed above can be output from the output terminals D1 to D8. (See "Input and Output
Timing" on page 246.)
General Output The data listed above can be output via Serial (Per Start/Async.), Computer Link, Ethernet or
Compact Flash memory card. (See "Selecting outputting ways" on page 259
