3.6 Removal of back up battery
The Nickel-Cadmium Battery, under various state and local laws is recyclable and it
may be illegal to dispose of the battery into municipal waste streams. Check with
your local solid waste officials for details area for recycling options or proper disposal.

(1) Remove the rear cover.

(1) Remove the battery cover.
(2) Disconnect the battery
connector.
(3) Remove the back up battery.
(1) Turn off the power switch and
unplug the digital copier.
