FILE COPY {source} {destination} [option] copies files and folders
options: -T sTats: shows stats after
FILE CRC {filename} computes CRC32 on file
FILE DEL [options] {name} removes files or folders
Deletes either named file, or named folder and all of its files.
options:
-F files only: delete all files in named folder, but not the folder
-R recursive: recurse through subfolders, deleting all content
-Q quiet: do not output list of deleted files
FILE DIR [options] [path] shows listing of files in path
e.g. FILE DIR -RF /SD
shows ALL files the SD card
options:
-F files only: do not include directories
-D directories only: do not include files
-M machine mode: file name first, comma separted size and time
-P full path: lists full path and file names
-Q quotes: surround file name and path in quotes e.g. "foo.txt"
-R recursive: lists files in path folder and all path subfolders
combine options e.g. FILE DIR -RPS "/my folder/subfolder"
Access the SD card by setting path to /SD
FILE GET [options] {filename} shows contents of file
FILE TYPE is identical to FILE GET
e.g. FILE TYPE -S /SD/file.txt
options:
-C CRC: show CRC of file
-S size: show file size in bytes
-T sTats: shows stats after
-Y YModem: use YModem to retrieve file
filename: the full path to the file of interest
FILE INFO {drive} [options] Show information about drive
Reply indicates if drive is not connected or is not mounted.
Otherwise shows available and total space on drive.
drive: the drive path e.g. /SD
options:
-M machine mode: show byte counts only
FILE LOAD {filename} [size] [CRC] Transfer a file to the system and save it
filename: the full path and name of the file to be transferred
size: the file size in bytes (set to zero if only using CRC)
CRC: CRC32 of the file. If in hex, write as 0x89ABCDEF
FILE APPEND {filename} [size] [CRC] Same as FILE LOAD, but appends data to
existing file
FILE MKDIR {foldername} creates folder(s)
FILE MOUNT {drive} mounts the drive
note drives are automatically mounted
FILE DISMOUNT {drive} dismounts the drive
FILE DISMOUNT SD should be used prior to removing SD card
FILE RENAME {old name} {new name} renames or moves a file or folder
FILE MOVE is identical to FILE RENAME
both {old name} and {new name} need to have a full path
both must be on the same drive
