If suction is not broken, pinch the open end again until air enters.
Water can be used to help remove the devices. Hold the device under a faucet, pinch the open area and let warm
water enter.
To remove from hard socket prostheses, insert a finger or wiggle while gently easing the Livingskin
TM
device off.
Using the Armature
Livingskin
TM
devices can be fitted with armatures. Armatures are metal rods inside the prosthesis that allow
positioning.
If armatures are included in the finger(s) of your Livingskin
TM
device, only bend at the knuckle or finger joint
closest to the palm. Never bend the armature at the fingernail, as this can make the armature to puncture the
surface. If an armature punctures the exterior of a Livingskin
TM
device, contact your prosthetist to schedule a repair.
NOTE:
do not constantly use armatures for positioning. Frequently bending the wires will cause them to break.
Broken wires cannot be repaired.
Battery or Switch Access
If being used as an arm cover for a myoelectric prosthesis, spray the outside of the Livingskin
TM
device with
isopropyl alcohol before rolling down the cover to charge the battery. Doing so will make it easier to pull the cover
against itself, preventing damage that may be caused by friction.
Nails
Acrylic finger or toe nails may be polished as usual. Only use non-acetone nail polish remover. Do not polish
silicone nails.
Prosthetic Adhesive
– If required, prosthetic adhesive can be used to aid suspension.
– Apply the adhesive both to the proximal edge of the device and the skin. Let dry. Once contact is made
between the adhesive on the skin and the prosthesis a strong bond will be created.
– To doff the prosthesis, wet a cotton bud with the remover. Roll the cotton bud around the edge of the device
and work it off the skin.
– If remover is not available, wet a cotton bud with soap. See
“Care and Cleaning”
for information on suitable
soaps.
– Please check for an allergic reaction to the adhesive on non-sensitive skin before use. Sensitive formulas are
available should skin react allergically.
DISPOSAL
All components of the product and packaging should be disposed of in accordance with respective national
environmental regulations. Users should contact their local governmental office for information on how these
items can be disposed of in an environmentally sound manner.
WARRANTY
Livingskin passive/ match devices are covered for 1 year under Touch Care for manufacturing related issues. If
a device is returned for repair during the period it is covered under Touch Care and it will be repaired free of

Inappropriate use of the prosthesis resulting in damage is not covered by the warranty.
