2. Insert the new batteries

Insert two new AA alkaline batteries into the battery compartment. The icons in 
the battery compartment will guide you in placing the batteries.

Lower cover onto the back of the meter, push down on the blue circle, and slide 
back into place.

If the meter does not power on after you have replaced the meter batteries, 
check that the batteries are correctly installed. If the meter still does not power 
on, contact Customer Service and/or LifeScan® sales representative.

3. Check the meter settings

Removing the meter batteries will not affect any stored results. However, you may need to re-set the 
meter settings. (See pages 16-18.)

4. Dispose of batteries

Dispose of batteries according to your local environmental regulations.
