Storing the system
Store the meter in the meter case. Keep in a dry place between 5°C and 30°C, with a relative humidity
of less than 65%. Keep all items away from direct sunlight and heat. Store test strips under these same
conditions. If fluid builds up in the meter, contact Customer Service and/or LifeScan® sales representative.
NOTE:
Improper storage may cause inaccurate test results or Error messages. If the meter storage case
becomes contaminated, it must be disinfected following the instructions for the meter.
• If a single meter is used to test more than one patient, the meter must be
disinfected after each
patient
, whether or not blood- or body fluid-contamination is suspected.

Disinfecting the meter
Disinfection of the meter is the recommended way to reduce the potential for exposure to infection from
blood borne pathogens. The meter must be disinfected after every patient use.
