4. Connect the transceiver cable to the Ethernet Unit connector. The Ethernet
Unit connector has a slide latch conforming to IEEE802.3 specifications that
serves as a lock mechanism. To connect the transceiver cable, operate the
slide latch as described below.
a) First push the slide latch upwards.
b) Insert the cable connector into the Ethernet Unit’s connector with the two
locking posts at the end of the cable connector aligned with the holes in
the slide latch.
c) Then push the slide latch down to lock the cable connector in place.

3-6-4 Connecting the Power Supply
Connect a 24-VDC power supply to the power supply terminals. The Ethernet
Unit converts this 24-VDC power supply to the power supply voltage for the
transceivers and provides it through the transceiver cable.
