Operation is not appropriate.
Operate the instrument properly referring
to Chapter 4, “Operation” in the instruction
manual for THUNDERBEAT or
SONICBEAT (Also, see “Heat temperature
of the shaft” in the Appendix for details of
the temperature).
THUNDERBEAT or SONICBEAT
instrument malfunction.
The THUNDERBEAT or SONICBEAT
instrument is defective. Remove the
THUNDERBEAT and/or SONICBEAT from
the body cavity and press the power switch
to OFF. Replace the THUNDERBEAT or
SONICBEAT instrument.
Footswitch malfunction.
The footswitch is defective. Remove the
THUNDERBEAT and/or SONICBEAT from
the body cavity and press the power switch
to OFF. Replace the footswitch.
Connection of the transducer with
THUNDERBEAT or SONICBEAT
instrument is loose.
Check if the THUNDERBEAT or
SONICBEAT instrument and transducer
are connected firmly. If not, connect them
firmly.
Transducer plug is not connected
to the THUNDERBEAT or
SONICBEAT socket properly.
Confirm that the transducer plug is
connected to the THUNDERBEAT or
SONICBEAT socket on the front panel of
the ultrasonic generator. If not, connect it
properly.
Transducer malfunction.
The transducer is defective. Remove the
THUNDERBEAT and/or SONICBEAT from
the body cavity and press the power switch
to OFF. Replace the transducer.
Unintended output (burns)
Ultrasonic generator malfunction.
Remove the THUNDERBEAT and/or
SONICBEAT from the body cavity and
press the power switch to OFF. Contact
Olympus.
Shortage of power supply.
Connect the equipment so that the total
capacitance of all equipment including the
ultrasonic generator connected to the
power outlet shall be smaller than that of
power supply.
The power cord is not connected.
Connect the power cord.
Takes time to start up.
Ultrasonic generator malfunction.
Remove the THUNDERBEAT and/or
SONICBEAT from the body cavity and press
the power switch to OFF. Contact Olympus.
Image of the touch-screen
is distorted.
Image is distorted by noise
influence.
Do not loop cords but separate them so
that they will not contact the main bodies
or cords of other medical electrical
equipment (electrocardiograph,
endoscopic video camera, etc.).
