ROUTINE MAINTENANCE
CLEANING THE PRINT HEAD AND MANUAL CHECKING OF THE NOZZLES
If you notice a deterioration in the print quality during normal use, you can use a brief procedure which
cleans the print head and checks the nozzles giving a diagnostic result of their condition.

The display shows the initial operating mode.

Press
FUNCTION
to select the FAX SET-UP menu.

START

Press
FUNCTION
repeatedly until the HEAD MAINTENANCE
sub-menu appears.
4.
Press
START
.
The cleaning parameter is displayed. Select CLEANING.
5.
Press
START
.
The fax starts the print head cleaning and nozzle checking
operation. It will finally give a printed diagnostic result of their
condition.
INTERPRETATION OF THE DIAGNOSTIC RESULT
The print test carried out by the facsimile machine contains a numbered scale and a message concerning
the operating status of the nozzles.
Correct
If the numbered scale appears as in the figure below:
and the message displayed is
“ALL NOZZLES OK!”
, this means that the print head is correctly inserted
and all the electrical circuits are working. Press
STOP
to return to the initial operating mode.
