CLEANING
12. CLEANING
Turn off the barbecue and wait for it to cool
down before cleaning it .
Do not turn off the barbecue with water or
other liquids.
Periodically and accurately clean the bar-
becue.
During the burners and valves cleaning,
pay attention to not expand holes and ori-
fices.
During the barbecue cleaning, use heat-re-
sistant tongs or kitchen gloves.
Note:
To extend the barbecue life and keep it in
optimal conditions, to cover it with a towel
when is not in use, especially if it’s left outdoors
during winter months.
Grids
•
Clean the grids with hot water and soap. To remove
possible food residues, use a cream dishes detergent
and a non-abrasive sponge.
Accurately rinse and dry.
•
After every use, open the burners taking the flame at
the maximum value ( ) and leave them on for about
5 minutes. This procedure allows you to burn cooking
residues, making grids cleaning easier.
Always open the lid before igniting the
burners.
Appliance body
•
Regularly remove excessive grease or the one on the
barbecue body with a soft wooden or plastic scraper.
It’s not necessary to remove all grease from the appli-
ance body.
If you want to completely clean it, use hot water, soap
and a cloth or a nylon brush.
Remove the grids and the burners lids before the com-
plete cleaning.
Do not immerse the gas regulators or the collectors in
water.
Check the burners functioning at the end of cleaning.
Screws and supports must be checked at least once a
year.
Tighten the screws if necessary.
Burners
•
Remove possible residues from the burners with a
brush. DO NOT EXPAND THE BURNERS HOLES.
•
Clean the oven inside using hot water and soap, then
rinse.
•
The barbecue it’s an easy target for spiders and bugs.
They can lurk in the burners hoses Venturi section.
They’re entrance can stop the normal gas supply and
cause its reflux from the combustible air opening.
This can cause a fire inside or around the air opening,
under the control panel, and seriously damage the
barbecue.
It’s necessary to remove the burners and to clean them
at least once a year.

Close the gas.
•
Remove the burners and check each burner inside.
•
Clean the burners inside with a metal wire (you can use
a straightened iron hanger).
