7. MANUAL IGNITION
•
Always open the lid before igniting the burners.
The failure to open the lid during the bar-
becue burner ignition, or not waiting the
5 necessary minutes to let gas disperse in
case the barbecue doesn’t turn on, could
cause explosive flames with consequent
serious or even fatal personal injuries.
•
Make sure that all the control knobs of the burners
are in “OFF” (•) position
(press all the control knobs
and turn them clockwise to make sure they’re in “OFF”
(•) position.
•
Light a match (possibly a long one).
•
Insert the ignited match through the cooking grid
placing the flame at about 1÷2 cm from the left burner.
•
Turn the control knob anticlockwise on “ ” , then keep
it pressed for 10 seconds; the pilot flame ignites.
•
Once the pilot flame is ignited, keep the control knob
pressed for an additional 10 seconds to allow the flame
safety valve to open and ignite the burner.
•
Release the knob and adjust the flame by turning it be-
tween “
1/4
” and “
1/2
”.
