6. PIEZOELECTRIC IGNITION
•
Always open the lid before igniting the burners.
The failure to open the lid during the bar-
becue burner ignition, or not waiting the
5 necessary minutes to let gas disperse in
case the barbecue doesn’t turn on, could
cause explosive flames with consequent
serious or even fatal personal injuries.
•
Turn the control knob anticlockwise to “ ”, then keep it
pressed.
•
Press the power button (18) to
ignite the pilot flame. Once the
pilot flame is on, keep the control
knob pressed for 20 seconds to
let the flame safety valve to open
and to ignite the burner.
•
Release the knob and adjust the flame by turning it be-
tween “
1/4
” and “
1/2
”.
•
Check that the burner is ignited by looking through
the cooking grids, a flame should be visible.
•
If the burner doesn’t turn on at the first attempt, press
the control knob and turn it to
OFF (•)
.
•
Repeat the ignition procedure again.
If the burner still doesn’t ignite, turn the
control knob to OFF (•) and wait 5 minutes
to le gas disperse before trying again.
In very sunny days it could be difficult to
see the flame of the lateral burner.
