Océ VarioPrint 1105
Image quality from the Océ VarioPrint 1105
in both copy and print modes was at
a high level throughout.
Océ attributes much of the high
image quality of the device to its chemically-
engineered HD polymerized toner.
The company promotes its polymerized
toner as being better suited to the high
image quality required of production
departments due to its smaller, smoother
and more consistently- sized particles
compared to the more traditional pulverized
toner found in some competing units.
Halftones were reproduced well, there was a
high level of reproduction in dark shaded
areas, and good pick up of light shades. Fine
lines and detail were crisp and well defined.
Front to back registration was another strong
feature on the Océ VarioPrint 1105.
The company quotes a registration
accuracy of 0.5 mm which is an important
quality concern for a back office production
environment where professional print on
demand book/manual production relies upon
this very feature.
